Why a number is missing for a video
What "Unavailable" or "—" instead of views means and why we never show a zero there.
Updated Oct 16, 2026
You see "Unavailable" or "—" instead of a number when we do not have a verified value. We never show a zero in place of an unknown value: a zero would mean the video really has no views.
Why the number is missing
- We have not measured yet. For example, right after the video was submitted. The number appears after the first measurement.
- The platform does not provide it. Some metrics are not published by a given platform.
- Permission is missing. Some values, such as YouTube "Engaged views", need the creator to allow access to their statistics.
- The platform temporarily returned no valid value. It is filled in at the next measurement.
- The data expired or was deleted. Reports show this as "Data expired" or "Data deleted".
Reports
Totals in "Reports" include only available measurements. A missing value is not counted as zero, so a total shows its "Coverage" (how many videos out of how many have a valid measurement) and the reason for missing values.
Rewards
We calculate rewards only from verified views. While the number is missing, the video does not reach its goal and no reward is credited.
