A video in review or in dispute

What the "Fraud review" and "Dispute" statuses mean, who decides and what happens to the reserved money meanwhile.

Updated Oct 16, 2026

Fraud review

We evaluate how each video gains views and engagement. When the pattern looks unnatural, or data is thin, the video goes to "Fraud review" instead of "Awaiting approval". It is not an accusation; the video just cannot be approved automatically.

You can approve or reject it yourself (with a "Decision reason"). Otherwise the Tiklify team reviews it; once cleared, it returns to "Awaiting approval" with a new approval deadline.

Dispute

  • Creator appeal. A creator can appeal a rejection within 7 days. The video then shows "Dispute" and the Tiklify team decides. A creator appeal that is not decided within 7 days closes in the creator's favour.
  • Your dispute. On a video "Awaiting approval" you can click "Open dispute". The Tiklify team decides within 7 days; otherwise the video returns to "Awaiting approval" with a new 7-day deadline. After the third round we review the video manually. You can open fewer than 5 disputes per campaign in 7 days and fewer than 20 per brand per day.

What happens to the money

The reward of a video that reached its goal is reserved in the campaign budget ("Reserved for pending rewards"). During a review or dispute it is neither paid out nor returned. Approval credits it to the creator. After a rejection that is not appealed within 7 days, it goes back to the campaign budget, or to your credit if the campaign has ended.
